Dear CSHA Members,

For nearly 60 years, the California Speech Language and Hearing Association (CSHA) has served speech, language, and audiology professionals, clients, and the community in the state of California. Together, we have navigated times of growth, turbulence, and change. At the present time, in the ongoing wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, CSHA has made the difficult decision to lay off its internal staff to ensure the combined organizations’ fiscal sustainability.  We are grateful to our staff for their contributions to CSHA over the years. We wish them all the best in their future professional endeavors.

Current Update

At this time, to continue the mission and vision of CSHA, the board of directors is working diligently to restructure operations. During this transition, CSHA needs and appreciates your continued support. As an association and a foundation, CSHA looks forward to continuing its advocacy efforts and educational offerings for the 30,000+ SLP, AuD and SLPAs in California. This will take time, collaboration, and connection. In light of the changes taking place, you may see a slight delay in communication. Rest assured your board members are working hard to make sure our association and foundation grow in ways that best serve our members, clients, and our community at large.

Looking Forward

As we make these transitions, our association and foundation continue to move forward. This includes planning for Convergence 2023! As you may have heard, we are continuing to accept submissions for proposals. If you’ve never submitted a proposal but have an idea to share, now is the time. The convention proposal submission deadline has been extended to October 15, 2022! Click here to submit!
